A Gen X woman, breast cancer survivor, caregiver advocate, and midlife reinvention coach. Around here, you’ll find a mix of real talk, resilience, and resources to help you feel confident navigating the second half of life.
Like so many women in midlife, I’ve worn a lot of hats: mom, wife, nurse, daughter, caregiver, survivor. I know what it feels like to juggle family responsibilities, career demands, and the emotional weight of caring for aging parents — all while trying to take care of yourself.
My own journey hasn’t been smooth. From early menopause after cancer treatment, to rebuilding after betrayal, to reinventing myself at 50 through fitness, skincare, and new dreams — I’ve lived the “messy middle” I now help others navigate.
I bring over 20 years of experience as a Registered Nurse specializing in geriatrics and case management. I’ve helped thousands of families understand the confusing healthcare maze of skilled nursing, hospital discharge, home health, Medicare, and more.
But beyond the charts and policies, I’ve also been the daughter making late-night calls, the mom trying to balance it all, and the woman asking, “What about me?” That’s why I connect both the clinical side and the deeply personal side of caregiving and midlife wellness.
I believe midlife isn’t the end of your story — it’s the start of your comeback era.
I created Lumina Life 50+ to help women reclaim their spark, rebuild confidence, and create space for their own joy — even while balancing caregiving, family, and career.
This is more than a website; it’s a community and resource hub for women ready to say:
It’s not too late. I’m not too old. And I’m not alone.
When I’m not supporting families or creating resources for women in midlife, you’ll usually find me leaning into the things that bring me joy and balance.
I love training for new fitness goals (including my first marathon!) and often have Shadow, my son’s German Shepherd, as my running buddy. At home, I share life with a lively little pack — my daughter’s pug Tater Tot, Fiona the Maltese (who prefers being carried like the queen she is), and Oliver, our spirited wire-haired terrier. Since I work from home, they’re my constant companions, and I’ve fully embraced being their “pack leader.”
For me, midlife reinvention is about more than resilience — it’s about fun, laughter, Gen X playlists, and adventures (big and small) that remind me it’s never too late to dream bigger.
